Rural and Farming Women, Distress and Wellbeing
Women who farm experience distress but their wellbeing is often not a key focus in grassroot community organisations and health services. Rural women often care for family, extended family, farm, business, community and these multiple work roles while rewarding and important are exhausting. Taking stock for farming and rural women means taking stock of all that is done and as women in our report ‘Growing Rural and Farming Women’s Health and Wellbeing‘ suggesting particularly having the opportunity to talk to other women in similar circumstances.
